"God helps them that helps themselves." - Benjamin Franklin quoting Algernon Sidney
As The B Side continually grows, the questions and discussions continually arise. It creates great joy and happiness inside of us at the b side to see the growth of the fan page, to receive emails of gratitude, and to hear from the fans that it truly is creating value in the lives of those that follow The B Side.
There is a true principle though that we must know misery to some extent to know the greatness of joy! It sadens us also at The B Side to hear or see those that are not understanding the point of The B Side. As I personally and regularly am receiving phone calls and text messages about The B Side and questions of discussion, few of you recently have brought up the fact that some people just don't get it. As you B Side supporter's have become inspired by the blogs and podcasts and the facebook posts, you tend to share your thoughts in discussions around you. I encourage all to continue to share truth and principle!
One of our B Side fans text me yesterday and shared with me her discussion of the power of meditation and constantly studying temporal and eternal principles with a guy she had been dating. In return the person she was talking to said "We do not need to study these things... they are common sense." I ask you now, if these things are so common sense then why is over 50% of marriages ending in divorce for the lack of communication, why is over 50% of the population in financial hardship, why in a nation built upon the principle of freedom to choose and we are choosing captivity?
These principles we discuss in my opinion are common sense. Yet we struggle with them as habitual creatures. We are constantly seeking happiness and joy, yet our ability to analyze and choose, quickly takes us off course. We are individuals that seek to know through feeling and experience. It is experencie that gives us patience and hope. Hope for a better life, for joy, for happiness. Yet there is power in consistency, the principle of consistency. In a past post, I shared what B Side fan Blake Fluhart taught us, summarized "Our character is defined on what we do consistently, not every once and a while." So if we are only living these or applying these temporal and eternal principles every once and while, our real character is being created against common sense. Habits are created and then strengthened. If we want common sense to be a regular habit, we must create them, then conditioned them and strengthen them. Often times we think of strength training only in our physical realm. Strength training is an over all human life value development.
The B Side To The Truth today is this. The concept of The B Side is common sense and has always existed. And like anything else it must be conditioned to our life. It must be studied and conditioned regularly into our life. Without the mistake of thinking we will become perferct or better than anyone else, yet that we are on a journey of learning and knowledge and becoming our best selves possible. New York Times best seller Neil Strauss said "Being yourself is not enough, you must become your best self." The truth is daily seeking to become your best self increases your energy, your happiness level, and your magnetism.
Today share this message with all... the more you share the more you condition yourself.
