“Always remember to slow down in life; live, breathe, and learn; take a look around you whenever you have time and never forget everything and every person that has the least place within your heart.” - Anonymous
In a highly fast paced culture we have conditioned ourselves to rush through everything as if it is a race. To be the first to finish school, to hurry and get married, to quickly get the best job, to be the fastest to have children, to set our eyes on the deadline of retirement. So many times have we set our eyes on things that are have-do-be mindset. For example: "Once I retire, then I will be able to do whatever I want." The question is why don't we do whatever we truly want right now.
In each one of us has a personal compass, that when we listen to it, we will be guided through a life of joy. To be able to enjoy life we must slow down, we must get away from technology, we must be doing activities that create productive energy with those we love and enjoy to be around.
Daily it must be a focus. After so many years of being conditioned from Elementary to middle school to high school clear to an adult life, we as human beings are being conditioned on how to live, act, and even how we are suppose to enjoy life.
The B Side To The Truth is we will never find joy and happiness in the rush of life. We will only find joy when we decide we already have it all around us. It is like a flower garden though. No matter how many times we pass it, if we don't stop to look and to smell, we will never notice it and the beauty it projects.
"Life is a garden; dig it." - Joe Dirt
