Other People

“Some people are like Slinkies - not really good for anything, but you still can't help but smile when you see one tumble down the stairs.” - Anonymous

The great lessons of life I have noticed always come from the teachers of those with kind heart and true desire for truth. While traveling here and there we have the opportunity to meet some people that as you delve into
"their world", amazement swells in your mind and gratitude in your heart.

It seems to be my greatest weakness saved my soul and my greatest love breaks my heart. That is my constant yearing desire for truth and travel.

As I search the Earth for nothing except great people and truth, I find my self often times lead away from people. Quickly I can feel a persons motives. Ask yourself, what are my motives while interacting with another person? This is where I have been able to decipher who I make my relationships with. A persons energy is easily told when you flip on the switch of genuine. To meet a genuine person is a rare treasure in a sea. Here is what I mean by that, you can find a beach scattered full of sea shells, yet the unique-ness of each individual shell can occupy your curiousity for hours. Even more so with people. There is much to learn with even one individual as you learn "their story" in this trek of curiosity, of love, of failure, and in the end; their journey to a life worth living.

We are quick to judge and slow forgive. The B Side To The Truth is allow the great people of today into your life. They have so much to add to your human life value. Be selective though with their enegry in allowing only the people that bring a pure heart and a true desire for truth. Those are the friends that will elevate you to a new level of simple joy.

Consistently what? (100th post!)

“Consistency is contrary to nature, contrary to life. The only completely consistent people are dead.” - Aldous Huxley

“Consistency is a virtue for trains: what we want from a philosopher is insights, whether he comes by them consistently or not.” - Stephen Vizinczey

The question is consistency for a fool or for a man of wisdom. It has been said that "what we do consistently will define our character." As to the word "consistency" it is a friend and a foe.

Here is what I mean by that. To be able to be in high second dimenesion (check http://thebsidetothetruth.blogspot.com/2010/04/third-demension.html) is to be highly productive with money. Producing money, being financially disciplined, and continually seeking counter balance in life. Consistency is a temporal principle that is anchored to a vision of what seek to create results with. Being consistent is a short term-long term confusing subject. To be consistent at values and principles is a must, yet to be consistently idle is where the foe comes in.

Many times I will hear people say, "Well I may not be very successful, yet I'm consistent right?" Well that is pretty much the phrase of an idiot... beings when you are idle, you actually begin to decay inside. Physically, mentally, and Spiritually you die when you remain idle. One must continually be seeking wisdom. In my young years wisdom has become a discovery of something I would have never guessed. That is just what wisdom is... learning what you never thought was possible!

The B Side To The Truth is be consistent with values and principles... with everything else stretch yourself to get out of your idle state and increase your wisdom through experience. Don't let consistency end up being your enemy.

Who Stole My Joy?

“Endurance is one of the most difficult disciplines, but it is to the one who endures that the final victory comes.” Buddha

The ability to quit is so easily accessible in this life. With all the media, social networking, social status, sometimes lack thereof, and importance of money that has been set as a standard for our social environment makes it easy to give up and remain idle.

The question is "give up" on what? We all must truly seek to know and see what it is each individual is truly after. When a person takes a finer look at life... he or she will see it was never truly the amount of money one had or didn't have or the things that were bought or the house that was lived in, yet the people that you experienced small little moments with.

As our sight is taken from us on the importance of the small moments in life that we tend to look over, we fail to endure in what is our greatest gift due to our blindness. The greatest gift of amazing joy is only permanently ringing when we are focusing on the lives of others and the experiences that we share together.

The B Side To The Truth is never ever let the situations of life steal your joy or take your focus off the prize. Just be pretty damn sure you know what the prize is or you will end up with the white elephant gift that ain't so funny!

So today ask yourself this question... Where is my joy? Where is my heart? Are they lined up?

Spring Clean... in my head?

“I experience a period of frightening clarity in those moments when nature is so beautiful. I am no longer sure of myself, and the paintings appear as in a dream” - Vincent van Gogh

Every spring the weeds start to bloom long before the vegetable gardens and the flower beds. Those who know a little about gardening (which is not me), knows that to be able to have a beautiful flower bed and a garden full of fresh vegetables, they must till the ground and clear the weeds before they can plant their seeds. If they plant their seeds into the weeds when they are already full of growth... the weeds will not allow the seeds to take much root and will suffocate the little seed.

Each spring we see yard sales, yard work, fresh gardens, and usually we find ourselves throwing out stuff from storage we never knew we had. Some people probably have things they didn't even know they have for the last 5 or 10 years and maybe even longer. What happens is these things create clutter and take up space. The more things and clutter, the more of a task and mess the storage seems to become and we continually put off that spring clean. Yet when we clean out the clutter, get rid of "things" we don't need or use, then we allow ourselves to feel a sense of cleanliness and accomplishment.

The B Side To The Truth is we must have regular spring cleans with our minds. Just as we find things as were cleaning out the garage, we will find issues in our mind that have been weighing us down and creating excess baggage we don't have to be lugging around all the time. Through writing, meditation, and silent personal time we can do a little spring cleaning of our mind to allow the seeds of our life worth living to grow. This will let our thoughts and dreams take root and bloom amazingly in our lives!

Seeing through different eyes

“What is important in life is life, and not the result of life.” - Johann Wolfgang von Goethe

The stress of life that we pile on ourselves almost seems to be never ending. The ability to eliminate stress on a daily basis and just live for the sake of living is the most admiral and enjoyable way to experience life.

In the DISC program, a program designed to study personality profiles of people in this World, states that 70% of the population is an "S" type person of some sort with "S" being their dominant type. An "S" type person is one that resists change to somewhat and seeks to be comfortable and inside of their boundaries. It is said that it is their genetic make up. I tend to have a little bit of a disagreement. I do not believe we are born the way we are.

It has been studied from Darwin to Freud to Dr. Phil on how and why we are the way we are. In the teachings of myself, (as if I have some credentials haha), I have found that we become who we allow the society to program and category us as. We have one compass and it is the dictates of our own conscience. The only problem is with this compass, we typically do not learn about it in our younger years, therefore we are conditioned and reconditioned to a way of life on how others view our life to be and the direction we must go without truly and constantly listening to this compass.

The B Side To The Truth is to truly find yourself you must lose yourself in a sense like the Christian leader Jesus spoke in the Holy Bible. Here's what I mean by that, one must eject themselves from the surreal computer programmed way of life of education, job, retirement, play and look at their life as if they are from a distance to see the whole picture and not just tunnel vision. The easiest way I know how to do this is to read a book, write in a journal, and the best... to travel and walk in the shoes of fellow humans and experience life from their perspective.

The power of seeing through different eyes!

DREAM BIG!

“Reach high, for stars lie hidden in your soul. Dream deep, for every dream precedes the goal.” - Pamela Vaull Star

The beauty of being a little kid where dreams are the source of life, is that there is no end to creativity it seems like when your a child. There are no worries of paying the bills, there are no worries of failing, there is no worry of what you will wear or who your friends are. Everyone is a friend and you take no thought for the morrow, for today is in your mind!

Over time as we grow up in to this system of "life", we learn the definition of failure, we learn "A" definition of success and happiness, and unfortunately we cease to dream.

So what is it that puts us into the system and what is it that captures us into a never ending slavery? There are literally thousands of little things that throw us off course. Mostly it is the concern, whether we believe it or not, of what the view of the World is on us.

The B Side To The Truth is a little secret, PEOPLE DON'T CARE OR THINK THAT MUCH ABOUT YOU! People are more concerned with their own well being and are great at picking out other's peoples flaws to bring them up. What I mean by that is they are not constantly focusing on your faults, they are constantly focusing on the faults of others and the things of others in general and comparing themselves continually. So take the comparison out of your life, and start dreaming!!

Tenacity with a Purpose!

“Tenacity is a pretty fair substitute for bravery, and the best form of tenacity I know is expressed in a Danish fur trapper's principle" "The next mile is the only one a person really has to make."" - Eric Sevareid

It seems as if every once and a while, no matter what our focus or goal is, hurdles step in the way of life. As fast at things turn good, even faster it can seem things turn bad. It does not take a rocket scientist to feel the energy change in the World this last year, and the reality is the last 20 years.

With the advancement of technology and the quickness of so called "communication", we have been conditioned, whether on purpose or as a result; to be the quick hitters get the information now sort of people. The bad thing about this, is it creates an emotional roller coaster even for the toughest of the tough.

Sometimes in life if it hasn't yet, will fill like you just got smacked in the face with a ton of bricks, and every few minutes another brick falls down from the sky and clonks you in the head again. When things like this happen it is the perfect time for a personal phase shift. A phase shift is something to shake things up a bit, get your mind off the current woes and worries. By doing this it gives your mind, body, and soul an opportunity to recuperate from the beating of life it has just taken. Then go back to the battle. Write down all the bricks, where they are coming from, and then ponder a plan of attack to overcome the obstacle.

Yesterday Casey Persinger and I were talking about the loss of The B Side Fan Page. I simply said "yeah it sucks, but it ain't no big deal! We can rebuild it! It's just a little stumbling block!" He says to me "you're a pretty positive person." I greatly appreciate the compliment. Sometimes life smacks us around a little bit and we think it is the end of the World.

The B Side To The Truth is life is coming at us and coming at us fast. It sometimes feels so surreal and like a video game. We must slow down life by creating phase shifts so we can pull ourselves together and be tenacious in this life. We are enslaved in a system and this system is not nor will not wait around. So screw the system and create your own! Live life to enjoy, to be happy, and to help others be happy! In the end what else really matters, you can't take your sweet wheels with you, your awesome Iphone, your cool HD TV, your nifty snowmobile! Nothing... absolutely nothing except for experience and knowledge. And that comes from every moment of living!!

Everything is OK!?

"What a wonderful life I've had! I only wish I'd realized it sooner” - Sidonie Gabrielle

The opportunity to walk through a mortal existence is such an experience. We go from being little innocent kids, to awkward teens, to our in-experienced 20's, off to our rushing 30's and by the time we get to our 40's were doing everything in our power to hit the E break to slow things down enough just to enjoy life.

I know not the situation of every human being. For I have only walked the path my own journey has taken me. Yet I have loved every minute of where I have been. More importantly I am so grateful for the once in a lifetime experiences that have been given to me. Sure people have done many things similar as me, yet their experience was specifically for them. The same as my experiences are specific to me and your experiences are specific to you. The more experience we gain, the more knowledge that we gain that if we continue to chase after this mythical empty feeling that has been instilled inside each one of us we will find the wisdom we deeply yearn for to fulfill the everlasting peace that we greatly desire.

The B Side To The Truth is follow your heart. Inside each one of us is given a weakness that if we seek to overcome to the very depths of this weakness that we were so lucky enough to receive, we will learn it was given to us for a purpose. Seek to understand more and more daily about yourself and the "signs" you have been given to lead you down this path. And once you grab hold to that wisdom, cling to it with all your might with the comfort that in the end everything will be OK. Yet in order to truly accomplish this it must be honest and pure of heart... then and only then will your mind be free from true fear. Fear of not making it to an unknown place. Stay focused on the prize... and the prize is that comfort of knowing!

Brain Cramps

“Simplicity, clarity, singleness: These are the attributes that give our lives power and vividness and joy as they are also the marks of great art. They seem to be the purpose of God for his whole creation.” - Richard Holloway

Even when certainty prevails, clarity may lack. The ability to sort through the junk of the mind and create clarity will not only help you find your soul, it will save your soul. It is the ability to gain clarity that will create a laser focus with an eye single to glory and truth.

Daily we face the barriers of life and existence in a social society with great demands. Over 90% of the World's population was born and inherited a great fallacy and disbelief in one's self. It is the limiting belief of not being important or not being enough. This however may be over come with persistence and diligence. The difficulty in this tribulation lies with finding passion and purpose. Even when one feels to have "found himself" or his "gift" there often times still feels a sense of lacking something, thirsting for more, a need for certainty. Many great men that were successful in various markets and many respectable individuals often say there will never be found certainty. The question to ask, what is certainty, and what is the knowledge we truly seek? There is only one question I believe that truly lurks in the back of everyone's mind... "will I be OK in the end? And even after one get's that question truly answered, he will still need a sense of clarity.

The B Side To The Truth is we all have brain cramps and uncertainty, yet clarity is still readily available to those that seek and create it. There are precise steps that must be taken in order to create clarity in the mind of mortal in to which lead to almost feel immortal.

Character

Character definition - the aggregate of features and traits that form the individual nature of some person or thing. dictionary.com

“Watch your thoughts, for they become words.
Watch your words, for they become actions.
Watch your actions, for they become habits.
Watch your habits, for they become character.
Watch your character, for it becomes your destiny.” - Anonymous

Character is what we have built, what we are building, and what we will build in our own life. What we do day in and day in our youth is laying the foundation for our character. What we do day in and day out in our adult life is building the frame work, and what we do day in a day out when we age is the final touches of our character. The problem with character is it has disease. The disease is called consistency. It is what we consistently do that builds and defines our character whether it is right or wrong.

We have a couple of choices. We can allow others to build our character or we can build our own character. We as human beings typically allow others to build our character through the chameleon effect. That is we become our environment. We become those who we surround our self with. The other is conscious dictatorship. That is where you build your own values and belief systems which will influence others for greater. No man should allow any other type of government over his own soul, other than the government of himself with direct communication between him and God. Allowing others to construct your character is the same as "the blind leading the blind". Now here is the question you should ask yourself.... why... in such a World of variety and opinion, should you listen to anyone besides your self? Besides your internal compass that has been given to each one of us.

The B Side To The Truth is each one of us has all of the tools necessary in which to build a character of grace for grace. We must use the dictates of our own conscience to choose our values and standards that will define our character. Have you defined your character lately?

Self-Guidance, Autosuggestion, How To Create and Keep Desire

“Your ability to use the principle of autosuggestion will depend, very largely, upon your capacity to concentrate upon a given desire until that desire becomes a burning obsession.” - Napoleon Hill

What you focus on is what your thoughts will continually subconsciously bounce around inside until it becomes fixed in your mind. Once constructed it must be continually visited to increase the focus and desire and naturally make it happen. Each burning desire should lead to a greater cause and understanding of truth. It should be sought to serve mankind and increase your knowledge to lead an individual from temporal principles to eternal principles.

Following specific steps that create as Napoleon Hill taught, autosuggestion, can lead to two riches. One of these riches will be will with temporal knowledge and riches. And the other can be anchored to pure charity and truth which will lead to eternal riches. Remember, no man can serve two masters.

How to apply autosuggestion is simple. It is through repetition and emotion. You can repeat an affirmation one million times and will do you no good if there is no emotion tied to the affirmation.

Steps:
1. Discover your outcome that you wish to have guaranteed sealed up.
2. Ponder all the pieces in your life that tie into that portion you wish to have.
3. Ask and Receive.
4. Develop a step by step specific plan in how to achieve your wish.
5. Write a vision statement including the step by step plan in which you will carry out.
6. Read your vision statement aloud 3 to 4 times daily, first thing in the morning and last thing before bed.
7. Constantly review your statement in your mind and anchored to truth with emotion and your wish. You will receive what you ask for and focus on both temporally and eternally.

The B Side To The Truth is autosuggestion is one of the most powerful tools in controlling your mind, creating a burning desire, and keeping a burning desire. In order to receive the feeling and increasing of desire, one must act and continually act. You must guide yourself through wisdom and skill development to know what and how to act. This will increase your motivation and desire to achieve what you have created with your new knowledge.

Human Zombies!

The problem with humans is our addictive and habitual nature. The Book of Isaiah in the Holy Bible calls us "transgressors from the womb". From the very moment a human being is born he or she is programmed into the ways of the World from their parents, media, cartoons, religion, friends, neighbors, even going to McDonald's. A human will develop their belief system and habit creating system between the ages of 3 and 7.

So if those are the facts and year after year after our minds and habits and beliefs are being reconditioned and reconditioned, how is a human being suppose to be able to disarm that in such a way that they can think for them self, and they can truly discover truth for them self? Not because they were told, yet because they were able to discover!

Pattern interruption! Escape the instilled zombie!! As we set ourselves in certain routines, (which good routines are good to have) we end up seeing the same view over and over again. We have the same perception on things. This keeps a human from being able to see things from a different angle and gain a deeper sense of truth. So little pattern interruptions like taking a different route to work, mixing up your morning routine, different techniques of exercise, WORLD TRAVEL, and many other things that disrupt the pattern so that the brain can identify the whole picture and not just what it has been programmed to focus on.

The B Side To The Truth is do pattern interruption. It will give you the ability to see through different eyes and which illuminates truth and identifies purpose. It allows energy to flow through the brain and the body and triggers different internal senses to allow one to live their life through the eyes that they have programmed. Escaping the captivity of social programming.

Are Morals and Standards Really Necessary?

“The nations morals are like its teeth, the more decayed they are the more it hurts to touch them” - George Bernard Shaw

A tainted conscience is easy to come by on the subject of Morals. We are great at holding other people to morals and standards, yet fail at holding our self to morals and standards. Anything that takes away from another human beings right to live is not of a conscience standard.

As time passes, life increases, ideas are born, standards are no longer the same as morals. Anything that harms another individual, including one self, is lowering your moral standards.

Who is to judge? The great thing about judgment is we are all sinners in seeking to exit the system of status. As we seek to "Change the World, By Changing Yourself" we no longer seek to enforce standards upon a person, yet enforce our standards upon our self. Constantly and consistently raising our own standards to increase our way of life and how we treat other people. As we begin to turn to the things that increase love and truth, our standards naturally lift up. Yet as our morals drop our standards drop and slowly we condition our conscience to be tainted and turned off. Thus disabling our gift to identify right or wrong in the sense of judgment for ourselves.

The B Side To The Truth is it has never been our job or responsibility to change another person. It is our stewardship to change our self for the better and teach those around us through example. As we live up to our morals and standards they continually rise for our own desires to seek further truth and to serve others. As we raise our standards for our own self, we teach humility, kindness, and love. And our magnetism increases to which others will seek their best self from the light they see with in.

A Contentious World

“It's our tendency to approach every problem as if it were a fight between two sides. We see it in headlines that are always using metaphors for war. It's a general atmosphere of animosity and contention that has taken over our public discourse.” - Deborah Tannen

Turn on the Tv, listen to the Radio, talk amongst your peers. Little by little with the temporal principle of small and simple things, has contention not only continued yet increased amongst the World today. We cannot be forced to be one, we must seek to be one. Contention forces a society to divide then then forced as one with no other choice left, yet a controlled "one".

This quote above depicts exactly what is going on in our World view today. From our own media in the USA such as Glenn Beck, Rush Limbaugh, Larry King, The Democratic Party, The Republican Party, and many more sources in the media. As contention arises viewing and numbers rise, which ultimately increases the amount of money into the pocket of those that are being listened too. It is very important to have a knowledge of our country and other countries and kingdoms as to have basic knowledge of what is going on in our World.

The B Side To the Truth is to avoid contention at all costs. Contention will only raise temper and anger which leads to irrational thinking and decision making. It then turns to a grudge and eliminates 100% the ability to decipher right or wrong. It becomes a matter of winning then, and not truth. Division causes war, so know what side you are on? And the side that will always prevail is truth. Truth will never be found in noise.
