Purposeful living, but what is my purpose?

“A ship is safe in harbor, but that's not what ships are for.” - William Shedd

It has always been my philosophy to go out and fail! Truly the discovery of this phrase cannot be read and understood. It must be lived... then can your eyes see the underlying meaning of what those that have lived before us have tried to teach us.

The grace of God is so simple and easy, often times we walk right past it with out recognizing it. Little by little, line upon line, precept upon precept, if we turn to know truth, it will be given to us. Yet how do we come to know truth if we cannot see or if we cannot hear?

It causes quite the dilemma. Often times we get so content with our situation, we lose the fight in us that we had when we were a child. The fight to live, the fight to enjoy, the fight to be loved, and the fight to love... just simply because when we are children, if we feel it is what we are to do, we act upon it. Not to be confused what we want to do, yet what we are suppose to do.

The older we get, the more time passes, and the more information we must filter through our minds. Along with this stream of information there is truth and there is fallacy. Yet with such an opinionated World today, it is difficult to know the difference. We can develop very strong belief systems that isn't necessarily truth. The task of un-programming fallacy and bad habits is difficult enough, yet having to then reprogram it and decipher which information to replace it with, makes it seem even more difficult.

In the second dimension, (read previous blogs to understand the three dimensions) the way we learn to increase desire and motivation is by thought and action. Thought given enough attention will lead to action, and action will lead to an increase desire. You want your physiology to change, go do something different that is out of the ordinary. I believe doing something completely differently than what you have been programmed to do will lead you to eternal truth, not because the action is the saving grace, yet you are able to view things from a different perspective. Looking at life differently allows you recognize the flaws of your programming and see the truth in purpose to program your self.

We all have friends that we wish we could just shake and give information that "WE FEEL" would help them. Yet it is impossible to change someone. A person can only change them self. Yet we must be a silent example. What I mean by that is we first must look at our own life, decipher fallacy, and as we see truth we will attract to it. We will go towards the light and knowledge naturally. And as we lead to the light and knowledge it is directly linked back to our magnetism, law of attraction, and others will follow you to this greater light. It must be done with out criticism of another human being, because what a person does not know, he cannot act upon, yet just because he knows not, does not mean he will be OK.

The B Side To The Truth is we each have a purpose. What it is, only you can learn from yourself. And once you find your purpose you will know, you will thirst no more for what is missing in your life. Yet when you thirst no more, it mattereth not that you proclaim your new found purpose. And it mattereth not that you tell others that they should seek for this thing that has given you great joy. Because only an individual can be told by their own true'ness', their "I AM". Seek for truth and it will find you! Yet it will not fall into your lap.

Is perfection possible?

Adherence to moral and ethical principles; soundness of moral character; honesty. - Dictionary.com definition

The ability to do what is right is a talent that has been given to each one of us. The difficulty sometimes for us is recognizing what is right and what is wrong. The old adage of "do unto others as you would have them do unto you" is a great guide line for this power inside of us known as integrity. Also, do unto yourself as you would others do unto you!

Integrity does not simply start with only being honest with others, yet telling yourself the truth. And this is where the difficulty of knowing right or wrong comes from. Each one of have the ability to feel and have feelings. By recognizing our feelings we can act upon integrity with ourselves in which we can then treat others as we are treating ourselves and as we would have others treat us. Yet if we cannot accomplish the task of being authentic with our self, we will never achieve being fully honest with those around us.

As we apply integrity in our own life, it opens the windows of knowledge and allows it to pour down on us from the clouds of understanding and simple joy. We can build our true happiness on a higher plain that need not, nor can be explained to another individual. Trying to explain in words a higher way of living is next to impossible. It is only something that can be lived and felt. And feeling can only happen when action takes place. We must trust in principle and truth.

The B Side To The Truth is most of us live life only partially in integrity. We treat people well for the most part, yet we can treat them better. And the way we start treating others better is by treating ourselves better! If we don't respect ourselves on a higher level, why would we respect others on a higher level?

Off Course

“If you can't feed a hundred people, then just feed one.” - Mother Teresa

We learn from those who have become before us and from history. From history of the World and history in our own lives. It is very easy to come off course. It is very easy to become a selfish individual and forget the things that truly count, that truly bring joy, and that truly create a life worth living.

Each one us have been given a unique ability and talent. Each one of us have the ability to receive infinite knowledge from a deeper source. The question is are we tapping into it? What are we doing to tap into it?

This morning I had the opportunity to have breakfast with Ryan Wilde, Owner of Utah Commercial Title. In the 30 minutes at Denny's I learned more on my mortal purpose than I have probably in the last 25 years of my existence. Our power to give. My power to give. We have a natural ability to love when we release it. The gratitude that has swollen in my heart for all the opportunities I have had to gain skills and to not only survive, yet to thrive in a promised land and great nation.

Setting all turmoil aside for a moment in this country and this World, we have such an amazing opportunity no matter what era we are born in. An era to give to those that need. I see no better way to give, than to just do it. Currently I am working on a project to act on the opportunity that God has given to each one us, and that is to give to those that need.

Myself in conjunction with some other associates of mine we will be planning and relying on the gift of creativity from God to be able to give on a large scale and to be able have your help, The B Side fans, so that we can all work together and creating a difference in this World.

The B Side To The Truth is we are all off course most of the time. We get set in a state of mind that we put so much focus on ourselves, that we forget our whole purpose, which is to love our fellowmen and raise them up to a view of hope and a feeling of happiness. A challenge question to all, what are we personally doing to make a difference not only to change ourselves, yet to give to those in need?

Right now we are in the beginning stages of planning for a few Global ideas that we have. We ask that we can have your support now in giving by friend suggesting on Facebook to all of your friends so that we can begin by spreading the word. "Changing the World, by changing yourself!"

The B Side To The Truth - Episode 9 - Incentive and Purpose

Episode 9 hosts Colton Lindsay and Casey Persinger discuss the importance of having not just an incentive, yet a purpose. Also the power of asking what can I do differently and the ability to identify our actions to know where our priorities have been. Are we doing the things that give us the ability to have a cause worth living for? Are we doing the things that allow us to have a life worth living?

Service, the true happiness

"And behold, I tell you these things that ye may learn wisdom; that ye may learn that when ye are in the service of your fellow beings ye are only in the service of your God." - King Benjamin

We have become a generation of do it for yourselfer's. A generation where we justify in our mind why we cannot help another person. Usually the excuse we give our self is "I am in a hurry" or "I am in a rush" Which reminds me of a country song from the 90's. "I'm in a hurry to get things done... ooo I rush and rush until life's no fun... all I really gotta do is live and die, but I'm in a hurry and don't know why..." Does life feel like you're always in a hurry to get to a certain place yet you never make it there?

“The best way to find yourself is to lose yourself in the service of others.” - Gandhi
"For whosoever will save his life shall lose it: and whosoever will lose his life for my sake shall find it." - Jesus Christ

Both Gandhi and Christ taught the power of service in not only serving when it is convenient, yet to lose yourself in the act of service. Now imagine a time when you helped someone just from the goodness of your heart because you felt it was the right thing. And truly it touched you with a great feeling after wards. We have learned from the beginning that to help yourself is to help others. We are taught to give everything to the poor. Give everything to the poor? As we feast upon truth we learn to give to the poor of heart. Those that have no hope anymore. Those that are blinded and have no real purpose. Those that always feel like they have to accomplish something. And as they gain hope, your eyes begin to open and your ears to hear. You find what you have been rushing after. Turns out you have been rushing right by it this whole time.

The B Side To The Truth is that something has already been accomplished. You didn't need to accomplish it. The reality is we must give to the poor and serve our fellow man. As we serve another, then rapport is built, relationships are formed, and happiness can grow and flourish! So ask yourself, are you losing yourself to find yourself?

Why do some people seem so stupid?

"I must create a system, or be enslaved by another man's." - William Blake

The old saying "you can't teach an old dog new tricks" isn't necessarily accurate, yet typically describes the mind control of a human being. The longer you condition a certain belief, whether true or false, the more the individual will believe it. The more difficult it becomes to relinquish the belief.

Now think of this, if you are conditioned your whole life to believe Christ is the Savior of the World, more than likely you will die believing Christ is the Savior. If you are taught and conditioned most of your life that you will die and be reincarnated, more than likely you will die believing that.

Between the ages of three and seven our minds are being conditioned not only on our belief system, yet how we develop our belief systems. One may come to the ripe age of 22 and decide what he or she has been taught their whole life, isn't necessarily true. Either they will question it and face criticism of the social view upon them or they don't question it just to be accepted by the social view of either friends, family, or people around them. These are the beginning stages of opening up liberally to all. Yet when one starts to form his or her "own" belief system, odds are they will use the habit forming process they developed in their child hood only to develop another belief system that will lead them to the same empty result as the first one.

The ability to become so liberal to be able to accept all and be compassionate to all is one of the largest steps in developing not only a productive belief system, yet a true eternal saving belief system. We have been taught by the religious that we must come unto Christ to be saved; according to the standards of the Church ran by humans, we have been taught by many of great people that are not religious to be a great soul and to love and serve our fellow men. And from the increase in population and money and power and transformation over many years, there has developed and derived many belief systems that pertain to this life and the life after death.

Yet think about this, God or a greater being or higher power or some external force made this all happen. Earth was created, life was put on here, oxygen levels were just right to make life breath and live, food was placed here for life to be fed, ideas were born, analytical thinking exists, great knowledge has been given to individuals of the knowledge of survival and survival of the fittest is how we have lived this whole life (whether we want to believe that or not.) Yet these things weren't made by accident, and if they were, it was a damn amazing accident or thing that just happened which in its self is beautiful. Yet assuming these things weren't created by accident, there had to have been some precise and deliberate planning and actions taken to create this beauty called life. Laws had to have been obeyed in order to make it so precise and so delicate as to have the creation of life on this Earth. So there must be a supreme way, one God for all, yet how is there are so many different beliefs, and who's belief system is right? Because there is no way in hell we can all be right!

What if we are all wrong? What if over time we have been fed belief systems that are only partially correct? What if we all have become stupid? Think about this, you play the game when you are young of starting a phrase or a story on one side of a line of people and the one person turns to the next and repeats the story, by the time it gets to the end of the line, the story is either only partially right or completely wrong. Yet the longer the line is, the more distant it becomes from truth, yet we take it as truth because that's what we were told. And imagining over time, thousands of years, the truth has become so distorted there is almost no way to know truth. Except, what if we could know from the source itself? How? You must ask yourself that question, cause only in your own stillness can that be communicated to you.

The B Side To The Truth is to honestly and truly know truth, you must pull out everything you have ever been told, you must expand to a sense of liberal mindset in accepting all things, and becoming compassionate for those who do what they do simply because it is they best that they know. Yet just because you run a stop sign and you didn't see it, doesn't mean you shouldn't receive a ticket for breaking the law and not paying attention. And then once you have become so liberal, you can then, with God place truth back in one at a time and develop a belief system not only worth dieing for, yet worth living for. A surety from the source that zero doubt is left inside of you.

Consistent Innocence

"Consistency requires you to be as ignorant today as you were a year ago." - Bernard Berenson

To think we never had a chance to create our own belief system in this World. To do so means we must become completely liberal for a time and release all beliefs and then filter back into our subconscious minds the truth we know to be true. We must create standards and live by them. Logic works directly with emotion to gain true knowledge. Ponder the fact that from the very moment you were born, you were fed the ways of the World... or in a smaller sense the ways of those around you, whether it be older siblings, parents, TV, school, friends, and society in general. Every time we are new to something, we must learn how the function works, or we will fail. It is important to go out and fail til you succeed, and once you succeed you must ask yourself, "now that I am succeeding, what do I do?" There must be a purpose and an end in sight, otherwise we are filling our life with emptiness.

I love the story of Jungle book. A young boy raised by wolves in an Indian jungle. He knows no better then to act as a wolf. Yet the question I present... is he really a wolf? Just because he was raised as a wolf... does it make him a wolf?

Point being just because you are told something, does it make it true? No! You must feast upon truth to know truth. And in order to do so you must be willing to give up your inherited beliefs to gain true beliefs.

The B Side To Truth is we were programmed from birth. In order to have a life worth living we must discover truth for our self, by our self with our God. Other wise we will walk a blind trail that leads to an empty pot. Imagine having your pot consistently full that you know your purpose and you have no doubt. Now imagine being able to do that on your own, cause that is what it will take. You can be inspired by others, yet when it boils down, you must do the work. And consistent innocent actions will create your life worth living!

Simple Living

"Our affluent society contains those of talent and insight who are driven to prefer poverty, to choose it, rather than submit to the desolation of an empty abundance." - Michael Harrington

"The ability to simplify means to eliminate the unnecessary so that the necessary may speak." - Hans Hoffman

The pleasure of simple life. I thought the other day a curious phrase of "All I want is a simple life, a simple Wife, and a simple house. That way I can enjoy the simple joys of this World."

Our World is moving quicker and quicker every day. The simplicity of life has escaped us. There seems to be less and less joy being experienced due to the loud noise. How can one experience joy if they never see it? What is keeping us from seeing joy day to day.

I think back to when I was a kid. Maybe 6 or 7 years of age... and what did I do on a Friday night. I spent it with my family. I had no concerns of mortgage payments, no concerns of car payments, no concerns of money what so ever... I just lived and I was provided for.

As I entered the World of entrepreneur I quickly learned that money grows on trees and money can buy you anything. The more I made, the more I could buy... yet quickly I saw myself slipping into the trap of credit and debt. I realized debt created a great captivity upon me and upon the World. I made the next year my only purpose to make money, to make a lot of it, and to have zero debt. To be financially free. And how wonderful it was to alleviate the burden of financial stress in my life.

Yet now at the young age of 25 I have reached a point where $100k a year is not sufficient for me. I have set personal goals to make $150k this year, and one million dollars in one year by the age of thirty. And to an innocent bystander looking on one might say, hey! That's a great goal... I wish I could make a million dollars a year. Then as I continued to think as "big thinkers" think and business planning not only 5 years out in advance, yet 15 years in advance. I had created a plan to make over 10 million dollars a year by the age of 40, which is only 14 years away.

As I pondered a paradigm shift from the first dimension to the second dimension, I realized what I had so deeply been looking for still wasn't found permanently. Although I had what I felt were great times with money in the last year, the newness wears off and I must replace the old with the new. It is if everything in this mortal existence wears off to disappears.

As I have slowly reached the third dimension I am ever more so brought to the attention of not only silence, yet simplicity and truth. Even in silent moments of thinking of creativity in second dimension your thoughts can become so fixed and focus on money, you blow off the the simple greatness of life. Which when I was 7 it was so easy to see, it was that of being with my family, it was that of just simple life.

The B Side To The Truth is this, recognize what dimension you are in and seek to get to a higher dimension! The top of the second dimension you must look way beyond. Because at the top of the social pyramid and of the pyramid of money, there is something more and there is something greater! And when you recognize what dimension you are in, learn the skills and the knowledge to take you to greater heights. Yet be careful, just as Tao Te Ching said "We shape clay into a pot, but it is the emptiness inside that holds whatever we want."

Common Sense

As thousands of years pass on this Earth, there has been one continual question through out all generations... "What is the meaning of life?" Daily we wake up and some of sweep this question and worry under the rug, others search desperately for an answer as if to fill a hole inside of them.

Either way it is apparent that inside each one of us there is a desire to be loved and a desire to know, in the end everything is going to be OK. Of those that sweep this subject under the rug, they have the tendency to fill their hole with short time "fillers". A "filler" is a temporary fix on a what seems to be a permanent wound. We as humans have the tendency to continue to dress and redress this wound, yet over time we realize there is still something missing, so we seek again to undress and redress this wound with something new. And still there is nothing.

Of those that seek the deeper meaning of life, most start without and only tricking themselves that they are searching with in. We will read quotes of those that have lived before us, we will read books of men that have been considered great and successful. We will do similar to those that sweep it under the rug, and by this I mean we never fill this hole inside of us. We continue our whole life seeking this deeper meaning yet always looking in the wrong places.

And both sets of people, no matter the category that we fall into, we often replace this void, this hole, this missing feeling, this thirst for more with money and things. It has been said that "money can't buy you happiness, but it sure as hell can help!" I use to be a strong believe myself of this concept. Til as of recent when the blinders had been lifted off of my eyes.

The B Side To The Truth is simple today. There is only one way to "thirst no more", only one way to truly fill that void. And the most amazing part of all is no one can give you this answer. It is something that must be sought out on your own truly, from the inside out. Inside through silence is the only way that one will be guided to find the answer that he or she has been looking for. And when the blinders lift you will be ahh struck at the lies you have been living with our powerful minds. To free yourself, you must give up yourself!

The Third Demension

"When you look at yourself from a universal standpoint, something inside always reminds or informs you that there are bigger and better things to worry about." - Albert Einstein

The view of the World is there is always two perspectives. Towards Positive or towards negative. This itself is shown in three different dimensions. The first dimension is there are two sides to everything in this life that we deal with. There is a good and there is a bad side to everything. The second dimension takes on to a higher level of thinking. One that can become a great producer and gain a lot of money, yet can be very dangerous if the focus stays on producing greater all the time. It is that of the continuum view, that for so long was in my own sights. The continuum of: you are either progressing up towards positive good efforts or you are progressing down, to negative bad efforts. Then there is the third dimension. The dimension that takes the first two dimensions and combines to create an alternative perspective that most will never see and will never see due to the captivity upon them in the first two dimensions. The third dimension is the view of seeing horizontally along with the continuum. It turns into such as like a grid.

The secret in the first dimension to get to the second dimension is decipher good from evil and always choose good. The second dimension is to incorporate the temporal principles. In the second dimension one who masters the temporal principles has all the potential in this World to become rich with money. And money is sought to gain freedom, the more money can create fewer concerns. Yet the third dimension is to realize both the other dimensions lead to captivity. It is as if we become slaves to the system that has been utterly placed upon us. And the more this concept is shared people continue to say... "well that's just the way it is. You need money to survive. You have to play with in the game or else you won't survive." How funny does that sound? How comical of an error is that phrase? When have we ever needed to be apart of a system to survive?

The B Side To The Truth is whether you are a poor slave or a rich slave, you are still a slave. The ability to add a third dimension view and see that there is freedom from the captivity of this society is a blessing and eternal joy. The temporal principles may be mastered and cause great success in this mortal existence. Yet in the full view, there is more to our existence then just 70 or 80 years on Earth. We spend so much time searching and perfecting and even fighting our urges to master these temporal principles, that if we could change our perspective to the third dimension, we would greatly strengthen our God-self and the ego greatly lose the majority of natural man desires, and slowly but surely lose the desire for money and things. We can more easily find the joy in the now and the power of serving.

Imagine

"Take therefore no thought for the morrow: for the morrow shall take thought for the things of itself. Sufficient unto the day is the evil thereof." Jesus Christ

Imagine a World where you could wake up everyday without thoughts of "how am I going to pay my mortgage?" or saving money to buy a new house or a new car or be able to go out to dinner like everyone else. One great thing to realize is most people going out all the time or buying things all the time, they can't really even afford it. They have leveraged them selves through debt and become captive to their creditor.

Imagine waking up in the morning and not heading to the rush of traffic as everyone races to their so called daily "duties" of work. Imagine if you could stay all day with the ones you loved. That the land provided everything you needed to survive and the being with those you loved only cultivated the joy inside of you. Imagine a life where you didn't have to slave at school to get good grades to get a diploma, yet you ponder in silence the wonders of life and gain a deeper understanding. Imagine not forcing your brain to work or to understand, yet understanding just came to you. Imagine your radio being the sound of life around you such as a creek with flowing water, or birds enjoying their natural habitat, or laughter from your young child as there is not a fear or a worry in the World.

The B Side To The Truth is we have come off course in this society with simple joy. Some may read and think this guy is crazy. Yet think about it, what value is it to continually to stretch to higher bounds financially and with more stuff? Stuff that isolates us from our true joy... The commotion around us forbids the silent teacher to give us the secrets to life.

It use to be that giant whales in the ocean could communicate over hundreds of miles away through sound in the water. Now they can barely communicate miles away beneath the ocean. Why is that? Boats, and numerous boats that are in the water. The noise and commotion has restricted their ability to communicate. It has happened so subtle and gradually that we have become worse off than whales. We hear not our own intuition to live and to love. We have become clouded with finances and things and wrongful desire.

Many say things must get much worse before much disaster happens around us. Over the history of this World and the different societies that have existed and ended, all had one thing in common. They were lifted up in the pride of their hearts. From Rome, to Jerusalem, to any great empire.

The liberally opening up of lowered standards has lead us to a life of a modern day evilness. From crazy night clubs, to abusive internet, to scandalous adultery, to lack of respect, to selfish desires to feed our ego. And many will say, "it's in how you look at it. You can use it for good or for evil". The reality is they are two choices that still lead to captivity with in greed and self indulgence. Anything that takes away your control and away from simple joy is not a good thing.

Now this was the faith of these of whom I have spoken; they are young, and their minds are firm, and they do put their trust in God continually. - Book of Mormon

A firm mind with eye single to truth and happiness. I must be the hard headed stubborn type. With a World set in a programmed pattern way of life, thinking for one's self has become virtually extinct. "The wicked are estranged from the womb: they go astray as soon as they be born, speaking lies." (Psalms 58:3)

Sit back and think for one second. The very moment a human being is born, he or she is born with God given rights. God given blessings due to his unconditional love. Yet from that very beginning we are "estranged from the womb" as we are programmed to others ways of thinking. Our human failure is that we are programmed before we gain the light of truth for ourselves. Only from seeking and searching it out will most find as they are attracted to the knowledge they have been lacking. It is as if we are born into darkness in a sense. We learn the fallacies from our social World at hand. And as one lie teaches another lie... millions of lies are born. From who's way is right to who's way is wrong. I ask no more who is right or wrong! Give me Truth!

The B Side To The Truth is take out every belief you have been told to be true... and start one at a time building your truth's within. There will be an undeniable source of energy as if you "thirst" no more for what everyone is seeking after. It has been said by many "we we will always thirst for knowledge". The B Side question is what is knowledge? Do we really always have to thirst for knowledge? No, we can have truth now. It will be the realization that we have been blinded to the ways of the World in which a false sense of happiness was built. Imagine a World without money and without proving yourself. It's real... yet it's subtle and you must ask for your eyes to be opened.

Cunning riches of the World

A faithful man shall abound with blessings; but he that maketh haste to be rich shall not be innocent. Proverbs 28:20

I often stop and look at the World in amazement. I once thought the entrepreneur had the secret to happiness. Slowly my eyes were opened that he too was captured in a cycle of money. It is as if we have been programmed in such a way to make money and gains as our focus. To let the little joys of life escape past us... to clutter our minds with the vain things that create a rush of life.

William Blake once said "I have mental joys and mental health, Mental friends and mental wealth, I've a wife that I love and that loves me; I've all but riches bodily."

Our greatest joys have never been the things of the World, yet the relationships which we have built. The ones that we love. And as we all have become entrenched into a systematic way of life, we have become seekers of things and money and gain.

Every moment of breath we take is actual time of life.

The B Side To The Truth is to receive the greatest gifts of this life, leave the master of money to those that seek the money. Spend time with those that you cherish and those that will cherish you. Money can never buy you happiness and it can never bring more joy than that of inner peace and love.

I have a great friend that in a sense described to me this feeling of false hope and happiness. He has bought many cars and through each car learned many lessons. "The lesson I most learned from it is the new wears off." It soon becomes not enough as it once was. Then to feed our ego we must get newer and better... to trick us into letting us think we have done well for ourselves. Yet it is not ourselves that gives us grace.

Dumbfounded Silence

Silence was never written down. ~Italian Proverb

I am severely dumbfounded in words of silence as of late. My eyes are as if they are opened and my ears can hear truth. The loud noise amongst our community and strangling humanity has held me tight in such a way this time of having it released is as if I can breath after being held underwater for long period of time. My shock at this system that was deliberately implemented to catch the souls of many.

The ability to create a plan of freedom is one of the greatest gifts in which we can receive. How? How do we create freedom in such a World with habits? It is as if we must free ourselves of all habits. We look at a habit is either taking us in a productive way or a destructive way. I believe we must remove all of our fallacies and replace them with truth. We must discover the eternal principles.

The b side to the truth today is simple. To increase freedom and peace of mind, one must increase the amount of silence and understanding he or she receives. The more understanding it is the more you can see your weakness and turn them into strengths that will become eternal.

Values, Standards, Do I even Care?

“I've also seen that great men are often lonely. This is understandable, because they have built such high standards for themselves that they often feel alone. But that same loneliness is part of their ability to create.” - Yousuf Karsh

Everyday people in the World wake up with one or two thoughts on their mind. Money and how can I get more of it. We fall into this series of actions to create more money in our pockets and more gains as social status. We have often looked at the World and see false levels to which we must build.

A B Side fan, Blake Fluhart, once said to me "A patriot is a lonely man at first". As we strive to become our best self we continually set higher standards. Yet sometimes we become lopsided in our standards. We tend to build them in a financial realm, yet sometimes we forget about our family. We tend to focus on our physical realm, yet we leave our mind alone and fail to exercise it.

As I look at the how liberal our country is, it lead me to ponder the country of The United States. As our ancestors came to this land in search of freedom, truth, and the opportunity to prosper; they built a World for the citizens here to be able not only to survive, yet the opportunity to thrive. As they built this country, it was built upon principles, standards, and values. This was built as a Christian nation seeking the opportunity to worship their God openly and how they may with the conception that it was only as a benefit to their own lives and the lives of others. The Christian principle of "Love thy God with all thy heart, with all they soul, and with all thy mind... love thy neighbour as thyself." (Matthew 22:37-39). All over the World many great leaders from Gandhi to Buddha have taught similar principles in their actions and their writings. As we see these principles are true standards to rise up to a higher level of happiness not only for an individual, yet for a people.

Now on television we see slowly our standards and values slipping away, and more and more of us slipping into the trap of lowering our standards. We have seen in with our politicians, we have heard of it with our religious leaders, with in large corporations. And the natural instinct is to point fingers, to blame individuals, and to ridicule these people.

The B Side To the Truth is to be able to Change the World by changing yourself. B Side fan, Casey Williams, wrote as one of her favorite quotes from Gandhi "Be the change you wish to see in the World." If we wish to see this change in our country, and in our World, it must start within each one of us. It will feel lonely at first and often times difficult. Many of us have been caught in the trap of lowering our standards in search to fit in or to find happiness. The reality is we must raise our standards and fit out to make a difference. And through the energy in which we create, a light will be seen from within to inspire those around us.

101 Opportunities

“A dreamer is one who can only find his way by moonlight, and his punishment is that he sees the dawn before the rest of the world.” - Oscar Wilde

We will face disappointment in this life. We will be let down by other people. We will let others down. We will disappoint ourselves. We may even feel as if we were let down by the ones we love. There is plenty of time to go and fail. The time to pass as if were a dream... is to pass the time dreaming. Live to higher dreams of life and higher dreams will become real.

We can pass through this life looking at all the missed opportunities and all the great things that we missed out on. Yet what about the opportunities that we have had. From our family, to our God given freedom, to the ability to love. As we begin to focus on the light of this World, endless bounds open up to us. Endless freedom builds inside of us.

Often times our opportunities were not necessarily opportunities at all. As we walk down this path called life, we begin to feel something inside of us... something that whispers we are meant for more... often times we misinterpret this as we are meant for more in status. We are meant for more, yet not in the ways of status, in the ways of feelings. One can gauge there success by their feelings inside.

The B Side To The Truth is sometimes opportunity will slam its door shut right in your face. You can sit and dwell on the fact that you lost out or missed your chance, or you can focus on that you have been given a bigger and greater opportunity, that possibly you do not understand. Yet it guides you to a stronger belief in yourself and an stronger belief in your God, that you will continue to be guided to your next step. Believing that your path will be revealed to you. It is imperial data that this is a linear equation of life. If you do X you will receive Y. From the spiritual realm to the financial realm to the social realm, everything has a step by step process, that when applied you will receive certain results. Yet sometimes you must open your eyes to the results you have already received and you will see, your dreams you have dreamed you already possess. The next time your door of opportunity has closed, quickly turn from it and look for the 101 other opportunities in front of you!

Why does life suck for some?

“We are what we think. All that we are arises with our thoughts. With our thoughts, we make the World.” - Buddha

The world is full of who's way is right? There are two paradigms in this life that connect to the continuum of progression. Here on The B Side we have identified them as The A Side and The B Side. As we press through life's challenges we constantly are identifying our life through perception. The confusion sets in though, when we begin to identify our life through the eyes of other individuals.

Self-worth is one of the most important muscles that we must strengthen. To be able to identify our self-worth and to increase our magnetism. New York Times Best Selling author with multiple books, Neil Strauss, describes our magnetism as our "inner game". What ever it is referred to, it is truth that something exists inside of each and everyone one of us, that if we cultivate it, we will strengthen ourselves and increase our happiness to gain a life worth living.

As the title of this post, "Why does life suck for some?" The B Side To The Truth is we look at life through filtered goggles. It is up to each and everyone of us to decide which goggles we place on our face each morning. We can look at the things that we don't have and play the role of the victim, or we can look at everything we do have and play the role of the victor! It all boils down to thoughts that we generate. Whether we generate them consciously or subconsciously, we still are responsible for generating the thoughts in our minds.

The A Side Mind set will consist of victim mentality always thinking the World is out to get them, others are out to screw them over, and that the World owes them something. A prime example in the Real Estate industry is the 8,000 dollar tax credit. It was already extended from the 7,500 tax credit, then to the 8,000 dollar tax credit, then another extra five months to receive this tax credit for first time home buyer's. I laugh as I hear people banking on the fact that it will be extended again. Which would be awesome for sales, yet the reality is we cannot expect others for constant hand outs! We must perform when opportunities are presented in front of us. Most individuals pass the responsibility and say "its not in my hand" or "I'm just not that lucky" or "other people always get good deals or better opportunities than me". If this is your mindset, the reality is you are not seeing the abundant opportunities around you. Neil Strauss says to the effect, "Opportunity does not always fall into our laps, we must get up and go find it". What are you doing to find opportunity, to attract opportunity, and to prepare to capitalize on opportunity for when it is in front of you. Benjamin Franklin said "God helps those that help themselves". And even then The A Side Mindset will rebuttal with, "I go to work" "I pay my dues". It is not a matter of just paying dues. It is a matter of creating value for the sole reason to create value in your life and the life of those around you. The more you create value for others, with out expecting anything in return, yet still understanding the importance of value exchange, you will attract more abundance directly into your life.

The B Side will go and do the things that create a difference in their life. They will get the education needed, they will exercise the realms to create counter-balance in their life, and they will give constant gratitude for the greatness that already surrounds them.

So here's the question to ask yourself... Am I more often in The A Side paradigm or Am I having the thoughts the provoke action to cause the changes in my life to create a life worth living? Am I "Changing the World by Changing Myself"?

Questioning to become Crazy?

“He who asks a question is a fool for five minutes; he who does not ask a question remains a fool forever” - Chinese Proverbs

The inquisitive individual is said to march to the beat of a different drum. The person that seeks truth will always march to the beat of their own drum. The opportunity to ask questions and to get answers is always in front of us. The thing that keeps an individual from questioning is fear. Fear of the answer, fear of embarrassment, fear of changing their implanted belief's. Which ever it is, he who fails to questions fails to live his own life.

The World has become ever more accepting of a wide variety of ideas and situations. The people have become ever more accepting of following then leading. We must become leaders is this swollen generation. The greatest leaders to ever walk this Earth from Gandhi to Christ to Buddha have always questioned the social perception, acted in trusting their conscience (which is directly connected to prosperity of the Almighty) to inviting others to follow their example. The true leaders sought truth through silence and meditation and proving of the principles.

If something seems amiss, it probably is. The ability to listen to our God given gift of intuition has been shocked, stimulated, and shut off because of our social perception. We have become a fear driven people and have forgotten the truth and prosperity of a love driven people. We as a people often talk with our mouths and act differently than we state to be. Think of that person that sometimes you are puzzled just by being in their presence... they say one thing and their actions say something completely different. Not that this is a bad person... it is a lost individual. When has confusion ever been a principle to follow? When has pointing fingers ever been a law of love and service? Sides are created and fingers are pointed and passing the buck vs. taking responsibility and authenticity which has become almost extinct in our existence.

“Learn from yesterday, live for today, hope for tomorrow. The important thing is not to stop questioning.” - Albert Einstein

Our people today have become the words of Oscar Wilde "Most people are other people. Their thoughts are someone else's opinions, their lives a mimicry, their passions a quotation."

Ask yourself... Is my life a mimicry? Am I following my intuition and my God given talents? Am I listening to my discernment? Or am I following blindly? Am I passing the buck to others because it is easier? Am I confused and know not which way to go?

The B Side To The Truth is take charge and control of your life by questioning the things that seem amiss to you. Ask yourself mind stimulating questions that allow you to exercise your mind and strengthen it. Many signs of an idle mind are shown through our actions. Are our actions productive or destructive? Things such as wasting hours feeding your mind with other peoples beliefs, wasting to many hours with idle activities such as television, arguing agendas, discrediting other individuals, seeking to fit in. The reality is the more you seek truth and self-leadership, the more you influence those around you and they will seek your acceptance and validation. You are already valid... just ask yourself where to find the next puzzle piece.

We must act now with our questioning... tomorrow will only condition your fallacies of taking the easier road and taking the path most traveled and beaten. Take the path of truth. You are the only one that has the power to discern that for yourself.
